OK, Well, That Was a Defeat
By Paul Boyer | October 5, 2008
Remember how I was sayin’ that yesterday’s matchup wasn’t a defeat and all? Today’s matchup against VYS was a defeat, plain and simple. Let’s see… 2nd minute, them. 26th minute, them. 29th minute, them. 33rd minute, them. 40th minute, them. 57th minute, them. Whoops, forgot a 43rd minute melee when I think someone bopped the ball to someone who bopped it to Nate who bopped it to Nathan who bopped it into their goal. End result was a 6-1 loss to the VYS on a crazy-to-get-to field behind some office building somewhere. [Thanks for the field, Capital One!]
Like Journey sings, “When you learn to lose, you know what it takes…” blah, blah, blah. Yes, I’ve seen the future of Loudoun 98B Black soccer and it looks like a stong, aggressive defense with surefooted offensive skills. Hopefully the future will arrive when we meet Reston in 2 weeks.
