Loudoun 4, SYA 1, Dragonflies 1000
By Paul Boyer | September 21, 2008
My mom said she had seen about 3 dragonflies before today. Hyperbole perhaps. Now she can say see’s seen thousands. Loudoun successfully defended off both SYA and dragonflies in grand style today. The Kincheloe fields had something magical in the air buzzing over our heads. Alfred Hitchcock might have even gotten an idea for a movie from seeing all of the dragonflies. Fortunately, they weren’t biting and neither was SYA. We kinda knew Loudoun would do well when in the 1st minute Rudra scored off a Gio assist. Then 14 minutes later, Nathan scored off an assist by Owen to make it 2-0 which is where it stayed until the half. Loudoun struck again immediately after the next kickoff when Gio scored off an assist by Tim in the 31st minute. Somehow, the demon spheroid slipped by our keeper in the 49th minute making it 3-1. Then just prior to the final whistle, Rudra took the ball all the way to the back of the net in the 59th minute giving Loudoun the win over SYA 4-1.
Great game guys. The score belies how well Loudoun actually looked as we could have easily seen more Loudoun goals had the ball come off the foot at a lower angle.
