Nice win today. Loudoun 4, VBSC 1
By Paul Boyer | September 20, 2008
How many shots does it take to get a goal? shot. Shot. SHOT. SHOT!!! SSHHOOTTTT. !!!GOAL!!! Loudoun looked fantastic on all fronts today, except in getting that demon spheroid somewhere other than in their goalkeeper’s hands in the first half. Attempt after attempt after attempt in the first half yielded nothing but putting the ball into their 7-foot tall goalkeeper’s hands (OK I exaggerate, 6 feet 11 inches.)
Anyway…
I saw great GREAT passes, excellent foot skills, beautiful one touches, and some nice bringdowns from high altitude along with an inpenetrable defense that gave Loudoun the easy win over VBSC. Whatever coach Evert said to the boys at the half sure must have worked because they came out and scored with a Gio kick into the goal in the 30th minute followed by a Nathan pass to Gio to a goal in the 37th minute followed by a Nate pass to Nathan to a goal in the 49th minute followed by a Nate pass to Gio to a goal in the 51st minute. Their 6 feet 11 inch goal keeper was replaced in the 2nd half by someone more normal sized, which may have been a contributing factor. The 6 feet 11 inch boy also scored their only goal in the 57th minute which is where the match stayed until the three short whistle blasts. Bring on the human growth hormone pills, folks, they’re growing them big at VBSC.
But seriously, nice game guys. Keep up the drills because the skills are paying off.
