Nice start to the NCSL season
By Paul Boyer | September 13, 2008
Except for the fact that last weekend was a complete rainout (even on a sunny, dry Sunday), Loudoun got off to a great start in the NCSL season today. They found the back of the net 6 times in the early morning heat to beat FRED 6-2. An early goal by Gio with an assist by Nate in the 5th minute got the game off to a good start. Loudoun looked like they might begin sealing it up just before the half when Rudra scored in the 26th minute. After switching sides, Loudoun came out looking disoriented getting scored upon in the 38th and 47th minutes with an intervening goal by Cameron in the 43rd minute. That second goal by their opponent lit a fire in the belly of the brave ones and they went on to unanswered scores by Dawson (assist Tim), Michael, and Tim (assist Gio).
In case you haven’t noticed, there is a live spreadsheet on the web with goals, assists, and points (goals 2 points, assists 1 point). Can’t guarantee it is accurate, but it is fun. Permanent link over at the right.
Way to go Loudoun, great start to the NCSL season.
